How it works

From contract upload to risk report in under 5 minutes.

Atira doesn't need onboarding, integrations, or a legal team. Here's exactly what happens when you upload your first contract.

Step-by-step process

01

Upload your contracts

Drag PDFs or Word documents into Atira, or connect your SharePoint, OneDrive, or Google Drive folder. Atira accepts any standard supplier contract format — no conversion or reformatting needed.

Most procurement teams upload their first 10–20 contracts in under 15 minutes.

02

Atira reads every clause

Atira's NLP extraction runs on the full contract text — not a summary, not a template. It finds price escalation clauses, auto-renewal terms, MFN provisions, termination triggers, and rebate conditions whether they appear in section 4 or footnote 87.

Extraction finishes in 2–4 minutes for a standard 80-page supplier agreement. No templates, no training required.

03

Risk report appears

Your dashboard populates with renewal dates, clause flags, and a financial exposure score for each contract. Contracts are sorted by risk level — Critical, Medium, Low. You see what matters immediately without reading a single page.

Every extracted clause shows its source location in the original document so your team can verify any flag in seconds.

04

Your team acts

Set renewal alerts for each contract in the radar. Export a Negotiation Brief PDF to take into supplier renegotiations — it maps the clauses Atira found to the leverage points your procurement team can use.

Share the risk report with your Commercial Director or forward the brief to your supplier. Walk into every renegotiation knowing exactly what the contract contains.

Accuracy and confidence

Built on contracts, not demos.

Trained on procurement patterns

Atira's extraction model was developed on procurement contract structures — MSAs, SLAs, supply agreements, and framework contracts — not generic legal documents. Mid-market supplier contracts have predictable clause positions and drafting patterns (price escalation language typically appears in schedules or payment terms sections; auto-renewal terms sit inside termination or duration clauses). Atira was built to recognise these patterns, not to search for keywords.

Every flag is traceable

Every extracted clause shows its source location in the original document — section number and page reference. If Atira flags a price escalator in a logistics MSA, your team can open page 38, read the exact clause, and decide whether to act. There is no summarisation layer between Atira's flag and the contract text. You verify any flag in under 30 seconds.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Atira handles standard supplier contract formats including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), supply agreements, framework contracts, and procurement framework agreements. PDFs and Word (.docx) documents are both accepted. Scanned PDFs with readable text layers are supported; fully image-based scans may have reduced accuracy.
No — and it's not designed to. Atira surfaces clause flags for your procurement team to act on. It does not provide legal advice, interpret contractual obligations, or tell you whether a clause is enforceable. What it does is replace the manual task of re-reading every contract before each renewal cycle to find the clauses that warrant attention. The commercial judgement — whether to renegotiate, terminate, or accept — remains with your procurement director or legal counsel. Atira gives them the information to make that call, faster.
Contract data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We operate under a strict data processing agreement — your contract data is never used to train our models or shared with third parties. Contracts are processed in isolated environments and only retained as long as your account is active. Full data processing terms are available on request.
A standard 80-page supplier agreement completes extraction in 2–4 minutes. Shorter contracts (under 20 pages) typically complete in under 60 seconds. Longer framework agreements with multiple schedules may take 5–8 minutes. Risk scoring and the final report populate immediately after extraction finishes.
Atira accepts PDF (native and text-layer) and Word (.docx) files directly. Via SharePoint and Google Drive integrations, you can also sync entire document libraries. If your contracts are stored in a different format, contact us — we handle most standard document types on request.
